How this website, and my work with clients, handles information. Last updated September 2026.
This site doesn't have contact forms, accounts, or e-commerce, so there's very little of your information for it to collect in the first place. What little does exist (mainly through the call-booking tool and email) is covered below, plainly.
This is a set of static pages. It doesn't run its own analytics or set its own tracking cookies. The one thing it loads from outside my own hosting is Google Fonts (Fraunces, Syne, Inter, Plus Jakarta Sans), served from Google's servers for this site's typography. Loading any web font this way can expose your device's IP address to Google as part of that request, the same as it would on any site using Google Fonts. I don't control or see that data myself.
If you email me directly (hello@alastairbanwell.com), I receive whatever you choose to send, typically your name, email address and the contents of your message. I use that only to reply to you and, if it turns into client work, to deliver that work. I don't add you to a mailing list or share your email with anyone else.
The "Book a Free Call" button uses a Google Calendar appointment scheduling page, not a form on this site. When you book a time, Google collects your name, email and answers to a few short questions on their own platform, under Google's own privacy terms, so that I can see who's booked in and prepare for the call. I only see what you enter for that booking, I don't get separate access to your Google account.
Once we're actually working together, I keep the information needed to do the work and invoice you, things like your business details, site content and login access you give me for hosting or domains. That information is used only to build and maintain what we agreed on, and isn't shared with anyone outside that project without your say-so.
If anything about how this site or my process works changes, for example if I ever add a contact form or client portal, I'll update this page to reflect that honestly. If you have any question about how your information is handled, just email me.
